LHP Dennys Reyes, who was recently designated for assignment by the Red Sox, has cleared waivers and was outrighted to Pawtucket. He has accepted the assignment and is no longer on Boston's 40-man roster.
RHP Blaine Boyer, who was recently designated for assignment by the Mets, has also cleared waivers and was outrighted to Buffalo. Boyer, however, refused the assignment and is now a free agent.
In other news, the Yankees have placed LHP Luis Ayala on the 15-day disabled list with a strained lat. The injury is retroactive to April 10. To replace him on the roster, the Yankees have recalled RHP Hector Noesi from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
