About LeRoy Media Group

LeRoy in the Afternoon is a private media company based in Upstate NY. We operate this blog to complement a variety of newspaper/web articles that are submitted by the crew. LeRoy Media Group was formed in 2008 while the crew attended college at the State University of New York at Oswego. LeRoy in the Afternoon was a weekly sports talk show on the campus radio station. Our main interests include: MLB, NFL, NCAA, NASCAR, Syracuse Football/Basketball, and Oswego State Laker Hockey.



Meet the LeRoy Crew:

Dan: MLB & Co-Oswego Hockey Columnist
Dan is the General Manager of LeRoy Media group and the original founder of LeRoy in the Afternoon. Dan recieved a BA in communications from SUNY Oswego in 2009. In additon to LeRoy Dan was the play-by-play announcer for Oswego State Baseball, an in-studio host for Laker Hockey, and media intern for the Glens Falls Golden Eagles. Since Oswego Dan has published one novel and has a second one in the works. Favorite Teams: NY Mets, Miami Dolphins, NY Knicks, NY Rangers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and the Oswego State Lakers.

Jason: Co-Oswego Hockey & Sports Money Columnist

Jason joined the LeRoy Crew in 2009 while finishing his business degree at SUNY Oswego. Jason now serves as the Web Director for LeRoy Media Group. In addition to LeRoy Jason was an in-studio host for Oswego State Hockey. Favorite Teams: Syracuse Orange, Green Bay Packers, & Boston Red Sox.

James "Star": NFL Columnist
James was an original member of LeRoy in the Afternoon and still writes for the Crew from time to time. Since graduating from Oswego in 2009 James keeps busy by running a Stewart's Shop in Schenectady, NY. Favorite Teams: Boston Red Sox, Miami Dolphins, & Boston Celtics.


Sean "Dr. Nice": Human Interest Columnist 
Sean joined the LeRoy crew in 2009 and is still an active member today. Sean brings a unique angle to world of sports that is meant to enteratin and sometimes makes you wonder. Favorite Teams: Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, & Notre Dame Fighting Irish. 

Pete: NCAA Columnist & NFL Conspiracy Theorist

Pete believes that the NFL is an evil corporation that fixes games to increase revenue and popularity. His theories have been featured on numerous underground sports sites/blogs across the net, but of course like any conspiracy theorist he posts under an assumed name. Favorite Teams: Buffalo Bills, Boston Red Sox, & Syracuse Orange.
